Did Palin resign because of an embezzlement scandal?

This just in from Think Progress. I doubt it, but who knows? It'll be interesting to see if something comes of this. As it stands, her resignation really doesn't make too much sense, especially given her supposed Presidential ambitions. I still think it may be possible that she just wants to stay home and take care of her baby.
